I instantly forgot 'hard Corpse', the awfull gothic first part act, wich came from nowhere to went back to the same place. Then we had a rather narcissic little film about the Robert smith's lips. Then finaly it starts with 'the kiss' long hendrixian guitar introduction. It's less powerful than in 1985 but with more sharpness about the new tracks. I have moved from the beginning to the end losing my edge and my glasses (shit). 'Love cats' played for the very first time is pure class, the new songs were ok too. You said clones? The crowd was literally full of them, sixteen years old generaly. Is this the next big thing on earth after U2 and Simple minds?
Passée l'abominable première partie goth "hard corpse", sortie de je ne sais ou et prestement repartie dans la même direction, on a d'abord droit à un petit film, plutôt narcissique, sur les maxillaires du Smith. Puis ça commence (enfin!) avec la longue intro quasi hendrixienne de "the kiss". Moins de puissance qu'en 85 en général, mais sûrement plus de finesse dans l'approche des morceaux. je bouge du début à la fin à en perdre le souffle et mes lunettes (grrrr!). "Love cats" jouée pour la première fois est superbement envoyée; les nouvelles chansons passent bien aussi. Vous avez dit clone? Le public en est carrément infesté, de seize ans d'âge moyen. Is this the next big thing on earth after U2 and Simple minds?
