Hugo Largo were the first part act. Puts me in a right shit frame of mind, that did. Some kind of lunatic ranting on about the fuck I know behind some tortured music which got on my nerves. Was too much to carry on; I left the hall! ... This time That petrol emotion played it smoothly, for two reasons : first the new lp is less speed than the first one and second, the guitarist wasn't there and was replaced by the bass player replaced by a new guy. Yet the gig was very good, led by the will o' the wisp Steve Mack, even the new funky tracks whistled by the dogmatic rock crowd.
Hugo Largo, en première partie, c'est carrément trop atroce pour mes oreilles, ou les déclamations d'une demie folle (simulatrice?) sur une musique torturée qui m'écorche vif. Je sors, je fuis, je met les voiles...c'est atroce! (oui je sais, je l'ai déjà dit, mais c'est tellement...atroce)...TPE jouent moins speed que la première fois pour deux raisons : d'abord le nouvel album veut ça et puis le guitariste absent, est remplacé par le bassiste, lui même remplacé par un nouveau. Néanmoins le concert est très bon, emmené par un Steve Mack toujours aussi feu follet, y compris les morceaux funky, sifflés par le klan des rockers dogmatiques!
