TELEPHONE November 1982 - Hippodrome pantin - The 'french rolling stones' night

Although they play some kind of mixed rock and rythm and blues, the 'rois fainéants' could feel the bitterness of playing first parts, as they were rapidly thrown out of the stage under spits, insults and beer bottles. You 'd believe Telephone could definitely do it, as Jean Louis Aubert, the singer, really knows is part, but soon, you feel something's going wrong without knowing what. Perhaps the calculated boysish attitude of the girl bass player? ... the Keith Richard's ersatz, guitar player and his never ending solos? The crowd clapping and singing 'la bombe humaine' in unison? That's it!!! I can't stand it.
